Pregnancy is an exciting time and is to be enjoyed! But it can also be quite stressful, especially if it’s your first time. There’s lots to think about and plan for and sometimes it can be difficult to relax.
Our specialised massage technique gives you an hour to unwind and to help address the changes happening in your body during this time of physical and emotional change .
As well as being very relaxing, a pregnancy massage can relieve some of the discomforts experienced during pregnancy such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and oedema.
This treatment is performed lying sideways and is not suitable in the first 3 months of pregnancy.
The benefits of pregnancy massage include:
- Reduction of stress and anxiety and promotion of overall wellness
- Relief from muscle tension through carrying the extra weight
- Reduction of stress on weight bearing joints
- Increase in circulation and removal of toxins and waste products
- Promotion of better sleep
