This Sunday, 21st September, Richmond will be playing host to the Richmond Running Festival. This annual event is possibly one of the most beautiful half marathons in London, with the route taking you through the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. The Running Festival also offers the Nike Kids’ Mile, which allows children as young as 5 the opportunity to experience the thrill of taking part and completing a race. Children aged 5-7 will be running a distance of 500m and children aged 8-15 will be running the full mile. We can’t wait to cheer on the athletes of the future!

Those of you taking part in the race should have received your race packs by now. If you’re feeling a little nervous about the upcoming race, you can find some Race Day tips from our lead physiotherapist David Silverhere. The race culminates in a music festival after the race, so it’s a great day out for the whole family. If you’ve been thinking about getting into running, there can be no greater incentive, so get down there and get inspired!

For the runners, we’d like to offer you 20% off a treatment here at The Forge Clinic, when you bring in your race number until the 21st October. You can use this to treat yourself to a massage to help you recover after the race, our therapists can also advise you on how regular massage can support your training for future events. Or you could book in for an appointment with one of our physiotherapistsosteopaths or chiropractor, if you experienced any concerning twinges during or after the race or are looking for a general MOT.

Please give us a call on 020 8332 6184 or email us at info@theforgeclinic.com to book an appointment. Alternatively, you could book online. Enjoy your race and remember to hang onto your race number to claim 20% off a treatment!
